The is no question that a lot has changed in the political landscape over the past 24 hours…with the massive Democratic blue wave victory. (The huge change in Texas could have profound implications for the 2028 Presidential election. The GOP cannot win without the Lone Star State.)
However, the outlook for the ROI on the AI industry has not improved…and neither has the outlook for the massive budget deficit. Also, the uncertain geopolitical landscape has not improved either.
One thing IS for certain, however. The ruling class STILL does not understand just how much the people in the lower half of our K-shaped economy are struggling. It’s just that in 2016, it was Hillary Clinton who didn’t understand this…and 10 years later, it’s Donald Trump who doesn’t understand it (and he forgot why he won in 2016 and 2024).
