• The stock market remains quiet so far this week…as a lot of people are on vacation…and the ones at their posts are waiting to see Nvidia’s earnings and Chairman Powell’s comments from Jackson Hole.  However, as we see those earnings and hear that speech, things should get more interesting…especially given how much yields have risen this summer.
  • As we expected, the dollar has rallied nicely since mid-July.  However, it’s getting overbought, so it should be due for a pullback soon (though one more thrust higher is still possible).
  • The simple things in life are frequently the best.  One of those “simple things” for us is the “smell” that exists in the mornings of late-August.
